St John’s Wort Care Oil

The Story :

St. John’s Wort is a herbaceous plant 40 to 60 cm high, widespread in all temperate regions of the world, where it grows especially along roadsides.

It owes its name St. John’s wort, which means “a thousand holes”, to the small translucent glands that punctuate its leaves, giving the impression of multiple perforations when observed through transparency.

St. John’s wort flowers have been used in traditional medicine since ancient times to treat wounds, internal infections and critical disorders.

They are appreciated for the manufacture of balms and ointments to fight gout, rheumatism, burns and to heal wounds.

From the Middle Ages, St. John’s Wort developed its reputation for the treatment of psychological disorders. Nicknamed “demon hunter”, it is recommended to fight neurosis, anxiety and depression.
