Argan Precious Oil

The Story :

The Argan tree is an endemic tree of Morocco which generally measures between 7 and 10 m high. It is very resistant and can live from 150 to 200 years, sometimes more, adapting perfectly to the climate and arid soils of the country.

The shape of this tree is particular, with a wide and round top, twigs full of thorns and a gnarled trunk. Its wood, which is very hard, is often used as firewood or for charcoal production, earning it the nickname “iron wood”.

Its roots are powerful and deep, keeping the tree on the ground and protecting it from erosion. It can be found at sea level and up to 1500 m above sea level, particularly appreciating the humid and oceanic air.

The argan tree now occupies more than 800,000 hectares of Moroccan territory, making it the second most cultivated tree species in Morocco after the holm oak.

Tips :

For dry skin, try a face mask made with Argan oil: Mix two tablespoons of white clay with a little rose water to obtain a thick paste. Add a large spoonful of argan oil and two drops of rose essential oil. Mix all the ingredients together well. Then apply this mask to a clean, dry face, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for ten minutes and cleanse your face with warm water.
